Sun-Protective Clothing

With all the different factors putting our families and ourselves at risk for cancer, we want to make sure we make the best choices to get the most out of options available to us.

Researchers have made many developments in an aim to prevent skin cancer and melanoma. Technology is advantageous, so it’s good to stay tuned to new inventions. Especially when innovation produces creations such as sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays as well as sun-protective clothing.

Sun-protective clothing applies science and engineering into the creation of the fabric and is then made into shirts, hats, wetsuits and so forth.  Whether you’re going hiking or basking in the sun at the beach with your family, sun-protective clothing is valuable and effective in skin cancer prevention.

In order to get the most value out of sun-protective wear, you must remember to apply UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sunscreen as on parts of your body which are exposed to the sun- your face, for example. Using both sunscreen and sun-protective clothing in concurrently will maximize protection from harmful, cancer-causing UV rays.
